Beth Lehman, Esq.


Beth is responsible for managing the compliance and regulatory programs at TwinFocus. She provides compliance oversight for the firm’s business activities, including the design and implementation of the firm’s compliance policies and procedures.  Beth also partners with the General Counsel to advise executive management on various matters and provide day-to-day guidance on legal issues and risk mitigation strategies.  Beth has nearly two decades of experience in the finance industry with a concentration in the wealth management field.

Beth is responsible for managing the compliance and regulatory programs at TwinFocus. She provides compliance oversight for the firm’s business activities, including the design and implementation of the firm’s compliance policies and procedures.  Beth also partners with the General Counsel to advise executive management on various matters and provide day-to-day guidance on legal issues and risk mitigation strategies.  Beth has nearly two decades of experience in the finance industry with a concentration in the wealth management field.

HISTORY


Prior to joining TwinFocus, Beth served as Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer for Athena Capital Advisors which was acquired by Franklin Templeton in early 2020.  Prior thereto, Beth served as Chief Compliance Officer and General Counsel for a Wellesley-based registered investment adviser and its affiliated broker-dealer.  Her responsibilities at both firms included design and implementation of the firm’s respective compliance programs.  She also advised management concerning all legal matters and risks, including drafting and negotiating business agreements and contracts with clients, vendors and other outside parties, assisting with employee relations, and supporting mergers and acquisitions (M&A) activity.  She began her career as Enforcement Counsel with the Securities and Exchange Commission, having served as part of the team responsible for investigating the far-reaching and complex collapse of Enron Corp.

EDUCATION


Beth received her bachelor’s degree in English from Boston University.  After her undergraduate studies, Beth received a joint Juris Doctor / Master’s in Business Administration degree from Suffolk Law School with a Concentration in Financial Services.  She is licensed to practice as an attorney in Massachusetts.

OUTSIDE THE OFFICE


Beth resides just west of Boston with her husband and their two teenagers.  As the mother of teenagers, she has developed extraordinary patience and a keen sense of humor.  When not negotiating with teenagers, Beth enjoys ski season and the opportunity to perfect her ability to ski moguls.
