Maya McDonald


As a Senior Associate on the firm’s Client Advisory Team, Maya coordinates with Directors to develop and implement comprehensive, goal-based multigenerational wealth planning strategies for a select number of family office relationships.  She integrates income and estate tax planning, cash flow analysis, charitable planning and risk management with seamless family office administration.  Maya is committed to ensuring each family’s specific needs are met and seeks to design aspects of the family office to alleviate client burdens.  Maya works directly with clients’ professional advisors within TwinFocus’s Multi-Single Family Office Team approach to synchronize efforts and ensure comprehensive planning encompasses a family’s entire balance sheet.

HISTORY


Prior to joining TwinFocus, Maya worked at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management where she served as the first point of contact for high-net-worth individuals and families for all aspects of their financial lives.  She assisted with financial planning, asset allocation, portfolio management, and cash management operations.

EDUCATION


Maya earned her B.A. in Psychology and Sociology at Bucknell University, where she was an All-Region Division I rower.  Pursuing an interest in human development, she studied abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark, taking courses in developmental psychology.  She is also a graduate of The Governor’s Academy located in Byfield, Massachusetts.

Maya holds her Series 7, 66 and Life, Health and Disability Insurance licenses.  She is currently pursuing her Master’s in Business Administration at Babson’s F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business and her Certificate in Financial Planning designation through Boston University.

OUTSIDE THE OFFICE


Born and raised on Boston’s North Shore, Maya is a devoted New England Patriots fan.  She currently resides in the Greater Boston area with her husband Mitch and enjoys spending winter weekends skiing and summer weekends on the Cape.
