Known for his discretion, global perspective, extensive worldwide network, and ability to solve complex challenges, Paul serves as a trusted confidant to a select group of families navigating the multifaceted demands of wealth, legacy, and cross-border complexity. He is often the first call for clients confronting high-stakes financial and personal decisions — where judgment, nuance, and confidentiality are essential.
A Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder and Certified Investment Management Analyst through Wharton, Paul earned a B.S. in Engineering from Boston University, which recognized him with its Outstanding Alumni Award in 2012. Earlier in his career, he founded The Karger Group at UBS and began in investment banking at Leerink.
Beyond TwinFocus, Paul co-founded and serves as Foundation Board President of Bridge Boston Charter School. Appointed by Governor Charlie Baker, he chaired the Massachusetts State Athletic Commission from 2016 to 2022. A lifelong martial artist, he actively trains and competes in Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Jeet Kune Do.
What I find most fulfilling in my work is the privilege of cultivating meaningful, long-term relationships with individuals who have achieved remarkable success in their lives. Their stories offer profound insight, and it’s deeply rewarding to play a trusted role in managing the complexities of their financial lives. Equally gratifying is the opportunity to build something enduring—a firm that not only serves clients with distinction but also provides for the families of the dedicated professionals who make our work possible. That dual impact—personal and collective—is what inspires me every day.
At my core, I’m deeply relationship-driven. I have a natural ability to connect with people, earning trust and building lasting partnerships that often evolve into genuine friendships. I approach each client relationship with empathy, always striving to understand their goals and motivations from their perspective. Given how personal and complex financial matters can be, this emotional intelligence—paired with sound judgment—is essential to delivering thoughtful, impactful advice.
Outside of work, I’m deeply passionate about martial arts and actively train and compete in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, Kali, and Jeet Kune Do. One of my greatest joys is coaching my children in these disciplines, sharing both the techniques and life lessons they’ve taught me over the years. I also cherish time with my family on our farm in Newport, Rhode Island—a peaceful retreat that keeps us grounded. And whether in the kitchen or around the table, I find immense joy in the art of cooking—crafting meals with care and sharing them with friends and family. For me, food is a powerful way to bring people together, create lasting memories, and express love and gratitude.
I’d either be a country singer or a chef. I love picking up the guitar and learning new songs—it’s such a fun and meaningful way to tell stories and connect with people. On the flip side, I’ve always had a passion for cooking. There’s something really special about creating a great meal from scratch and sharing it with the people you care about.
One of my proudest personal accomplishments is founding and helping to build Bridge Boston Charter School — a pre-K through 8th grade school serving children in one of Boston’s most underserved communities. What began over 15 years ago as a bold idea has since grown into a vibrant educational institution, now home to 335 students and supported by a dedicated team of 110 educators and staff. I continue to serve as Foundation Board President and remain deeply committed to advancing the school’s mission and impact. Watching Bridge Boston flourish has been one of the most meaningful and rewarding journeys of my life.
